Key features of the Watch7 and Watch Ultra
The Watch Ultra boasts 10ATM certified water resistance, protecting it from water damage up to 100 meters underwater. Its grade 4 titanium body ensures the internal components are safeguarded by a durable exterior. The watch features a 590mAh battery, allowing it to run for up to 48 hours in Exercise Power Saving Mode, the longest battery life of any Galaxy watch to date. With a screen capable of reaching 3,000 nits of brightness, it surpasses the Galaxy Watch6 by 1,000 nits. Additionally, the Watch Ultra is designed to withstand extreme altitudes, functioning reliably from 500 meters below sea level to 9,000 meters above sea level without issues.
Both the Watch7 and Watch Ultra share several key features, emphasizing durability, sensors and health tracking, as well as fitness updates and smartphone connectivity. Both watches are MIL-STD-810H compliant, a military testing standard that ensures the equipment can withstand rigorous testing in various environments. They are capable of enduring temperature extremes, from as low as -20°C to as high as 55°C.
In terms of sensors and health tracking, both devices use the Samsung BioActive sensor to monitor heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, body composition and body fat levels (BIA), period cycles and fertility, and advanced glycation end products, providing insights into metabolic health. For fitness updates and smartphone connectivity, both watches leverage Galaxy AI to offer Smart Replies, allowing users to respond to messages with AI-generated quick responses based on their typical writing style. They also feature an Energy Score, a score out of 100 that represents the user’s health and wellness based on collected data, and Wellness Tips, which provide personalized health improvement suggestions.
