This iteration brings a refreshed visual identity alongside an enhanced feature set, offering a more intuitive and personalized interface for users. Powered by Android 15, One UI 7 seamlessly integrates the latest Android innovations, delivering a smooth and cutting-edge mobile experience.

Samsung launched the One UI 7 beta program on December 5, 2024, with select regions receiving early access. The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra were the first to receive this update, with more eligible devices set to follow.

Apps

With One UI 7, Samsung has made notable design upgrades to enhance the user experience. The native app icons have received a vibrant overhaul, adopting a more colourful and eye-catching look. Notifications have also been improved, now featuring larger, pill-shaped designs that are easier to read, ensuring better clarity and accessibility at a glance.

Notifications and Quick Panel

In One UI 7, Samsung has restructured the Notifications and Quick Panel, splitting them into two distinct screens for a more streamlined experience. Swiping down anywhere on the screen now brings up the Notifications bar, while swiping from the top-right corner opens the Quick Panel.

Notifications have been redesigned with a larger, pill-shaped format for better readability. The Quick Panel has also been enhanced, now featuring a new volume control bar and improved toggles and controls. Personalization options are more robust, allowing users to reorder buttons and toggles to suit their preferences.

Additionally, a wide variety of new widgets for stock apps have been added, with options to label and customize their appearance for a more personalized touch.

Now Bar

One UI 7 introduces an exciting new feature called the Now Bar, a dynamic UI element that adapts to your activities. Whether you're playing music, on a voice call, tracking a workout with Samsung Health, or more, the Now Bar adjusts to show relevant controls and options.

This pill-shaped addition to the status bar expands when tapped, revealing additional information at the bottom of the screen, and it’s also available on the lock screen for easy access. In addition, Samsung now offers the option to switch your app drawer to vertical scrolling, providing a fresh way to navigate your apps.
