From filling your home with music to managing heating, lighting and security, Apple’s Home range is designed to make everyday life feel effortlessly connected. The lineup includes smart speakers, entertainment devices, home hubs and accessories that work together throughout the household.

Explore Apple’s Home ecosystem and learn how each device helps create a more connected home.

HomePod

The HomePod is the powerhouse of Apple’s smart speaker range, combining immersive high-fidelity audio with intelligent room sensing. Its high-excursion woofer delivers deep, clean bass, while the five beamforming tweeters produce detailed vocals and precise high frequencies. Using its microphones to analyse sound reflections, the device determines its position in the room and adjusts its sound in real time. This helps the HomePod deliver a balanced listening experience from different positions around the room.

With compatible Spatial Audio tracks, the HomePod directs primary sounds, such as lead vocals, into the room while reflecting ambient elements off the walls to create a more enveloping listening experience. Meanwhile, Sound Glow adds a visual dimension by lighting the top of the HomePod with colours inspired by the album artwork and pulsing in time with the music.

The HomePod can be paired with the Apple TV 4K to create a home theatre system with Dolby Atmos support, depending on compatible content and audio equipment. Two HomePod speakers of the same model can form a stereo pair. When connected to Apple TV 4K, four speakers can also create surround sound, with one matching pair at the front and another matching pair at the rear.

When paired with the Apple TV 4K, the TV's Enhance Dialogue feature makes speech more prominent, helping voices remain clear against music and background effects.

Beyond entertainment, the HomePod also acts as a secure smart home hub with built-in Siri, allowing you to control compatible smart home accessories using your voice. Its temperature and humidity sensor can trigger routines based on room conditions, while Sound Recognition can recognise the sound of a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm and send a notification to your Apple devices.

HomePod mini 2

The HomePod mini 2 is a compact, spherical smart speaker that offers a more affordable alternative to the HomePod. Designed to fit almost anywhere, it combines high-quality audio and connected-home controls in a colourful miniature form.

Despite its smaller scale, the HomePod mini 2 delivers rich 360-degree sound, whether used alone, as a stereo pair or in a multi-room audio setup. Powered by the S10 chip, the HomePod mini 2 uses computational audio to optimise its sound in real time. Four HomePod mini 2 speakers can be paired with the Apple TV 4K to create a surround sound system that automatically calibrates sound timing and audio levels to the room.

The HomePod mini 2 offers many of the same features as the full-size HomePod, including secure smart home hub functionality, Sound Recognition, temperature and humidity sensing, and Sound Glow—all in a smaller and more affordable design. The HomePod mini 2 is automatically added to your Home app when you set it up. This allows you to use your voice to control your HomeKit and Matter devices.

Apple HomeView

The Apple HomeView is a smart home display designed to be the heart of the connected household, available in two distinct forms. The freestanding model has an adjustable display atop a domed speaker base, while the wall-mounted model offers the same core Apple HomeView experience in a more streamlined design. Both models have two full-range drivers, although only the freestanding model has a down-firing woofer and dual force-cancelling passive radiators for more powerful audio. Both models also feature a four-microphone array that captures your requests even amid background noise, alongside temperature and humidity sensors for seamless smart home automation.

The 7-inch Liquid Retina display provides access to an array of content and smart home management capabilities. For example, the Start Cooking feature turns recipes found in Safari into a streamlined format that is easier to follow in the kitchen. You can also begin a recipe, song, call or video on an iPhone and continue it on the Apple HomeView.

The Apple HomeView can also recognise up to six people by their faces and adapt the experience to show each person relevant content from apps such as Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders, and Find My. Built-in Siri AI provides natural, personalised assistance, while customisable faces give the shared device personality, transforming it into anything from a glanceable information hub to a dynamic digital photo frame.

Apple TV 4K

The Apple TV 4K (fourth-generation) brings entertainment, communication and smart home management together on the big screen. Powered by the A19 chip, it offers responsive navigation, smooth playback and more efficient high-quality streaming through a dedicated AV1 decoder. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ deliver a vivid 4K picture, while Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos creates multidirectional sound and Enhance Dialogue makes speech easier to hear against music and background effects.

Built-in Siri AI provides more natural, hands-free control through three far-field microphones. You can ask broad questions, refine searches with follow-up requests or learn more about what you’re watching without leaving the programme. When connected to a compatible iPhone or iPad that supports Apple Intelligence, Siri AI can also draw on personal context to understand requests. For example, it could find and suggest a programme previously recommended by a contact.

The Apple TV 4K works closely with other Apple devices to broaden the viewing experience. It also acts as a secure smart home hub, letting you manage compatible accessories, create automations and view household cameras with the Home app.

Apple Home Collection

Apple’s Home Collection is a lineup of smart home accessories, developed in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The collection spans home monitoring, climate, and access, all compatible with Apple’s Home hub ecosystem.

imageCameras
The Home Collection includes an LG Indoor Cam, an LG Outdoor Cam, and an LG Floodlight Cam, all capturing footage at up to 2.5K resolution. Their live feeds can be accessed through the Home app on compatible Apple devices or home hubs. Built-in storage allows footage to be stored temporarily during a Wi‑Fi interruption and uploaded when the connection is restored.

The LG Indoor Cam automatically tilts to adjust the view when you check it, and can also be controlled remotely from the Home app. It prioritises privacy by tilting down to stop monitoring when the first household member returns home.

The LG Floodlight Cam captures perimeter footage, with low-light colour night vision enabling more to be seen during the night. If motion is detected, the dual floodlights will automatically activate. The LG Outdoor Cam also features low-light colour night vision for enhanced clarity.

With an eligible iCloud+ subscription, each camera provides 10 days of event video history. When the home is set up with an iPhone or iPad that has Apple Intelligence enabled, the system can generate descriptions summarising what happens in recorded clips.
imageSmart Deadbolt Lock
The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock pairs security with convenient home access. It uses Ultra Wideband technology to recognise when a resident carrying a compatible device with a home key approaches the door, allowing it to unlock automatically. You can also unlock the door by tapping the lock with your connected iPhone or Apple Watch, entering a PIN code, or using the hidden backup key slot. It’s also possible to share guest access directly through the Home app.

For added security, the lock can determine if the door has been opened, closed, or tampered with. It can also alert household members if it detects unusual activity, such as the door being opened while the lock reports it is secured. The lock is Matter compatible and supports Aliro, a connectivity standard designed to provide consistent, secure access using compatible mobile devices and wearables.

The Smart Deadbolt Lock is compatible with the Video Doorbell, and the two can work together as a front-door system. This allows you to see who’s outside and unlock the door in a single action, or by asking Siri.

imageVideo Doorbell
The LG Video Doorbell features dual cameras that capture visitors and packages at the same time, with each camera view available separately in the Home app. The front camera captures 2.5K resolution video, while the bottom camera captures full HD resolution. When someone presses the doorbell, Apple HomeView and compatible HomePod speakers can sound a chime and announce the visitor.
imageSmart Thermostats
The collection includes Smart Thermostats from LG Electronics or Schneider Electric, allowing you to choose the model that best suits your home’s heating and climate-control system. Both thermostats can use compatible LG or Schneider room sensors to monitor temperature and humidity in different areas of the home. They’re also compatible with the sensors already built into the Apple HomeView, HomePod, and HomePod mini 2.

Final thoughts

Apple’s Home lineup brings entertainment, communication, and smart home management into a more unified system. While each device has a distinct purpose, the range is most compelling when its products work together as one connected ecosystem that supports everyday routines throughout the household.

By extending its ecosystem beyond personal devices and into shared household spaces, Apple is redefining its place in people’s lives. Its technology is no longer limited to the devices people carry or use individually, but is becoming part of the infrastructure on which the whole home operates.
